InnovaTek’s goal is simple, to help sustain our natural resources and enhance our quality of life. They create and develop products for environmental safety and sustainable power. Battelle, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is a world-class research and development company located adjacent to the Port’s Technology & Business Campus (TBC). Over 4000 scientists and engineers at PNNL have access to the most sophisticated equipment in the world to complete their research projects. State of the art facilities, like the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL), are available to qualified companies with new ideas. PNNL also provides entrepreneurial services and guidance for spin-off and start-up companies through their economic development (see http://www.pnl.gov/edo/). The Applied Process Engineering Laboratory (APEL) is another organization that is in place to help hi-tech firms establish businesses in this region. Washington State University Tri-Cities branch campus is also located adjacent to the Port’s Technology & Business Campus.
